Welcome to www.migraction.net
Thanks to its unique geographical position, the astonishing variety of its habitats covering a wide climate range, France is at the crossroads of migration, on the flight path of literally tens of millions of migratory birds. Being in such a privileged position to witness one of the most beautiful, most spectacular and most mysterious of all natural phenomena, we are constantly being reminded of our responsibility to enhance the protection of migrants and to improve the conservation of their stop-over sites, conserving European biodiversity. In response to this challenge, several birding associations have joined forces in MISSION MIGRATION (MIGRATION STUDY GROUP) with the migratory bird standing as a strong symbol for safeguarding biodiversity. This network, open to all, aims to broaden and diffuse our knowledge, to share our passion, and last but not least to remind that each and every one of us has a role to play in saving migratory birds and biodiversity for future generations. Join us in the field, sit back and enjoy the spectacle.
